Intergovernmental Review (Clearinghouse)

Executive Order 12372, the "Intergovernmental Review of Federal Programs," is intended to promote intergovernmental partnership through the coordination and review of proposed Federal financial assistance and direct Federal development. The West Virginia Development Office, Community Development Division is the Single Point of Contact for the State of West Virginia. The provisions of Executive Order 12372 of July 14, 1982, appear at 47 FR 30959, 3 CFR, 1982 Comp., p. 197, unless otherwise noted. The White House Office of Management and Budget maintains the official policies and directory of State Single Points of Contact.

Application Procedures

Step 1: Determine if the program/grant for which you are applying is covered by Executive Order 12372. If the program/grant is not covered by the Executive Order, the following steps are not needed.

Step 2: In order to complete the Clearinghouse Application Form, you will need the program/grant title, CFDA number, name of the program/grant, along with the following documents:

  • Signed Copy of S.F. 424
  • Narrative or Abstract
  • A Copy of the Budget

Step 3: A review letter will be mailed from our office within 30 days for a competitive grant or 60 days for a non-competitive grant application, after receipt of the required information.
